For the unknown, AirPlay is Apple’s wireless technology that lets you stream content wirelessly between Apple devices. For example, you can use Airplay to cast iPhone’s screen (which acts as a source) to Apple TV (which works as a receiver), obviously both connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Now, even though, Firestick doesn’t support Airplay right out of the box, there are a handful of third-party apps that support Google Cast, Miracast, and of course AirPlay. Let’s check them out. 1. AirScreen

AirScreen is one of the most popular apps to mirror both Android and iOS screens to the Firestick. It simulates the AirPlay protocol on a local server running on the Firestick. You can simply tap the device from the control center to turn on the screen mirroring.

Pros

Easy to use UI Quick Connection Fast feed transfer

Cons

Unreliable connection of the Firestick 4K (maybe it’s the software issue)

Install AirScreen (firestick)

2. AirPin Pro

Just like AirScreen, this app creates a server on the Firestick to simulate the AirPlay protocol. However, if you just want to play some music from your phone on the TV, you can do it with this app. It can come in handy when you don’t want to show the phone’s UI and navigation just to play some music. The app is paid and would cost you $4.99 but you can try the free version to see if the app works for you.

Pros

Local Connection Feed transfer Different modes of AirPlay for Video and Audio

Cons

UI is confusing for the first-timers

Install AirPin Pro (Firestick)

3. iWebTV Player

Firestick has an official app for most of the video services like YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, etc, but what if you want to watch videos from websites other than these? iWebTV Player lets you surf the web on your iPhone and push the videos to your Fire TV Stick. Just download the app on both iPhone and the Firestick and you’re done.

Pros

Play a wide range of videos from the web Intuitive App UI Automatic connection establishment

Cons

Installation on Firestick is a little tedious

Check out Aptoide TV

4. Video & TV Cast

The previous app lets you cast videos from the web to the Fite TV Stick but it couldn’t fling your personal media to the TV. Video & TV Cast can push your personal media files from your Camera Roll and even the iCloud to the Firestick over the local network. Just install the app on both devices and enjoy the videos of your cute cat on the Fire TV Stick. Cool isn’t it.

The free version is more of a trial where you can only stream the latest three media files from the Camera Roll. You would have to shell out $6.99 to unlock all the features locked behind the paywall. Pros

Ability to stream Files from Camera Roll and iCloud Media transfer on the local network

Cons

The free version doesn’t offer much

Install Video & TV Cast (Firestick, iOS)

Mirror your iPhone on the FireStick
